January and February Presentation and News
I am going to start providing monthly updates of activities or promotions that may pique your interests. I will continue to offer additional posts celebrating commemorative days or upcoming conferences/workshops that may be of interest to you. For the first installment, I will be combining both January and February as there were three poignant presentations I conducted:
- Literacy and Emergency Preparedness for Students with Deafblindness (presentation is on Youtube)
- Accessibility Considerations and Emergency Social/Support Services (CRHNet Emergency Professionals lecture series)
- Social Work and Disability Issues class at University of Northern British Columbia.
I have submitted and will continue to submit proposals for presentations at conferences or workshops aligning with their themes to provide opportunities for organizations or individuals to gain knowledge and lived experience in EM/DRR.
